Children's Relief Fund is the only non-profit relief
organization working to bring injured and sick children from
the Middle East for free medical care that is not available to
them in their homeland. Since 1991, over 75 children have come
to the U.S. through the PCRF. The PCRF also arranges to ship
medical equipment and supplies to institutions in Lebanon and
Palestine.

Index Medicus: "Printed knowledge [on medical matters]
generated in African countries will be given global exposure in
the African Index Medicus. It will promote African publishing
by encouraging writers to publish in their country or regional

countries are competing for publication space in the few
world-wide "prestigious" journals. The traditional North-South
flow of information would be complemented by South-South and
South-North communication: information on health problems in
one country would be shared with those experiencing similar
conditions."

- World Federation
for Mental Health. The World Federation for Mental Health,
established in 1948, is an international advocacy organization
in consultative status to the United Nations and its
specialized agencies on mental health issues. It works to
promote better care for the mentally ill, to protect their
human rights, and to focus attention on special mental health
issues affecting refugees.
